• UNICEF has now issued a Request for Proposals in order to select a supplier for the provision of drilling in UNICEF Lubumbashi Field Office. Dear Madam, Dear Sir, The Unicef ​​Lubumbashi Field Office uses borehole water from which the well was drilled there There are a few years dating back to more than twenty years of MONUSCO's period as occupant of the site. In addition to the dilapidation of the well, maintenance of the latter is also difficult. Also, the water quality analysis tests from the borehole carried out in October 2023 showed the presence of coliforms (E. Coli) which, despite the chlorine treatment, this significant presence of fecal coliforms and total coliforms noted a high bacterial load, which indicates that this water is unfit for consumption and household needs. This call for tenders is part of the identification of a specialized service provider capable of to carry out a new borehole at the Unicef ​​Lubumbashi Land office and connect it to the existing water supply network within the strict limits of the agreed quality, budget and schedule.
