- Expression of Interest are invited for Democratic Republic of Congo CPSD Phase 2 Deep Dive. The project aims to conduct a deep dive or diagnostic which constitutes the Phase 2 of the Country Private Sector Diagnostic (CPSD) for Democratic Republic of Congo. The CPSD Phase 2 comprises of a deepdive in the agribusiness sector, led by the IFC. After discussions with the CMU, the World Bank, and Investment teams, it was agreed that agribusiness contained many realistic and near-term opportunities for IFC investments. Many factors were taken into consideration to decide on the 3 value chains, including likelihood of an IFC investment (current leads), information gaps, and priorities of the WBG and other development partners. Accordingly, 3 value chains were selected from a list of many potential value chains. These are: cassava, maize and aquaculture. The deepdive aims to address questions regarding better understanding of the markets, identifying barriers and opportunities for investment, the main players in each, and actionable recommendations.
