CONSTRUCTION WORK OF FORTY-EIGHT (48) TEMPORARY LEARNING SPACES WITH SCHOOL FURNITURE AND THIRTY-THREE (33) LATRINE DOORS IN NYIRAGONGO, KIBUMBA & KARISIMBI, NORTHERN PROVINCE - KIVU
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), in the Democratic Republic of Congo, plans to initiate work to develop Temporary Learning Spaces (ETA) and latrine blocks in the PROVINCIAL DIRECTORATE OF NATIONAL EDUCATION AND NEW CITIZENSHIP NORTH KIVU 3, EDUCATIONAL SUB-DIVISIONS OF NYIRAGONGO, KIBUMBA AND KARISIMBI in North Kivu Province in order to improve the conditions of the learning environment for displaced children due to the degradation of school infrastructure where several schools have been used as shelters by families of internally displaced people since the beginning of 2024. In addition, since the last year 2023-2024 school year, schools have also been enrolled with an additional number of students, which has seriously increased the pressure on school infrastructure. For this purpose, UNICEF wishes to use providers specialized in construction work, especially in school infrastructure and WASH works, which have the experience and technical, human and financial capacities to carry out said work over a period not exceeding 105 calendar days per lot from the date of contract signature, with a guarantee period of twelve (12) months per lot after provisional acceptance.
